Manaaki Pelvic Health was created to provide a calm, inclusive, and specialised space for pelvic health care.
Pelvic health can be deeply personal and, at times, vulnerable. This clinic is founded on the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and well-informed when seeking care.
About Katherine Rogers
Pelvic Health Physiotherapist | Pessary Fitter | Acupuncturist | Functional Strength Trainer | Pilates Instructor
Hi, I’m Kat, a registered physiotherapist with post-graduate training in pelvic health.
I work with people across all stages of life - from young athletes to parents, through to menopause and beyond - helping them manage and overcome pelvic floor concerns. With the right support, most conditions improve, allowing people to return to the activities and lifestyle they value.
My own haerenga/journey with a pelvic floor injury gives me a unique perspective; I know how isolating symptoms can feel, but also how empowering it is to find the right treatment. I continue to compete in Hyrox and mountain biking, showing that these challenges don’t have to hold you back.
Beyond the clinic, I am committed to raising awareness and sharing knowledge. I have spoken at community events, contributed to podcasts, and mentor other physiotherapists in the pelvic health field. I regularly attend mentoring sessions myself, conferences, and research updates. My aim is always to provide evidence-based, compassionate care that restores confidence, function, and quality of life.
A wise soul once told me to leave my patients with a SCAR - let them know they are strong, capable, adaptable and resilient (Credit: Antony Lo).
Why the name Manaaki?
The name Manaaki was chosen to reflect the values at the heart of this practice.
In te reo Māori, pronounced ‘mah-nah-ah-kee’, manaaki speaks to care, respect, support, and the act of uplifting others. These principles align closely with how pelvic health care is delivered in my practice, through compassion, dignity and a commitment to meeting people where they are.
Pelvic health concerns are often sensitive, personal, and deeply connected to identity, confidence, and wellbeing. I provide care in a way that prioritises safety, consent and respect, recognising the vulnerability that can accompany pelvic health presentations.
As a non-Māori practitioner, this name has been chosen with intention and humility. Guidance has been sought to ensure it is used appropriately, and its use reflects an ongoing commitment to culturally safe practice, learning, and reflection of pelvic health physiotherapy (to clarify, I do not offer traditional Māori healing methods).
Manaaki represents not only how care is offered, but how clients are welcomed - with respect, warmth, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel supported in their health journey.
